One of the two most used copper-nickel alloys, alloy C71500 has additional reinforcing components along with roughly 70% copper and 30% nickel by weight. Cupronickel alloy is another name for copper nickel alloy. UNS C71500, a copper-nickel alloy, offers a medium-high strength and good creep resistance at high temperatures.
This CuNi 70:30 alloy has good creep resistance at high temperatures, excellent corrosion resistance, and resistance to stress corrosion cracking. With a nickel content of 30%, C71500 is best suited for usage in conditions including high pressures, temperatures, and turbulence.
